Thanksgiving 2008

The day before Thanksgiving was spent shopping and cooking. Jessica, my 11 year old, was with me every step of the way.
We shopped, and shopped....going from one grocery store to the next to get all the ingredients. We cooked and finally rested for the next day. Then off to the country we went.
I love those trips. The drive is so beautiful and the trees have started to turn!
We arrive and are greeted by nieces and Nana and Papaw and sister in law Kellie. Not to mention little Ita the chihuahua!
After Helping Nana in the kitchen and eating til we about burst...James and I snuck off to Cold Spring, where he was born and grew up.
It's such a quaint, small town. With an old jail that gives tours, the high school and small town main street buildings. We ended up at Lake Livingston.
It was an overcast day, but so very nice, nonetheless. We ended the day by having Papaw pick us some fresh rosemary, packed down with leftovers....we drove home in a food coma!
