Love Is.............

Love is patient, love is kind.
It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
And now faith, hope, and love abide, but the greatest of these is love.

What a load of bullshit.
Love is cleaning up the crap.
*Having two little girls is a lot of crap to clean up. Both had colic, and one threw up almost every day until she was 3. There were times I had them throw up in my hands when nothing else was near. THAT is love my friends!

Love is finding someone to tolerate and tolerate you…year after year, day after day, minute after minute.

Love is never having to say, “I’m sorry I couldn’t wake up for you.”
*An explanation as to what that means, would be TMI…so I’ll leave it at that.

Love is managing expectations.
Love is letting your daughter take a jammie top to her father’s because she wants to smell you.
*Never ever said how uncomfortable it may have been when she showed up with mommie’s jammies at her dad and stepmother.

Love is sometimes best left up to personal interpretation.
Love is challenging.
Love means not telling him you can hear him in the bathroom….. even with the fan on.
Love, when it’s done right, involves more giving than taking.
Love cures a loneliness, but it can’t cure colic.
Love is blind, especially when you pass out in the car and don’t remember him helping you to bed.
Love is leaving your daughter at camp, 2 hours away…….even though you wanted to do nothing but run back to her room and live in her closet for a week.
Love is laughing to tears when your daughter paints the furniture with toothpaste.
Love is sleeping on the sofa when your yeti…err I mean spouse... is a bit snory.
Love is remembering to breath and be polite, even when you want to be an ass.
Love is telling your wife how lucky you are to have her, when she’s completely make-up-less.
Love is letting your wife sleep in on Saturday morning AND Sunday morning.
Love is letting your wife have the remote, even when your Austin City Limits are on.
Love means watching those shows on the Health Network with your wife once in while to show her you can pretend a little bit that you understand a little why those gross surgery shows are so interesting to her.
Love is hella work.
Love has its rewards – even if you don’t see them right away.
Love is over-hyped and underrated at the same time.

Love is listening at the same time not being heard.
Love means saying “Olive Juice” even after you’ve been married forever.
