Okay, as usual (for the most part) I don't have a literal recipe for this. It's what I've adapted for myself and my family. I love hummus. And when I say LOVE I mean I could eat it with almost anything! A wrap, on a pizza, in a pita, on a mushroom burger, in a salad or on it's own with a few mix-ins. It's very easy to make, healthy and yummo!
I start with a bag of chick-peas, a tube of garlic (it's got garlic and seasonings..yes in a tube), the juice of one lemon and one lime, water, olive oil, sea salt, cilantro and pine nuts. You can add tahini as well. For some reason, this time I forgot to add the tahini....go figure.
Throw it all in a blender/food processor and get to it.
Now to build the 'sammich'. I had a wheat roll, avocado, mushrooms, sprouts, tomato. Toasted the bun in a little olive oil and build that sammich!

Step By Step
...Day by day....
So, this week I have started to move my lazy butt! Walking!
James is well into his training for the MS150 on his bike and he's doing GREAT! With our work schedules completely in different modes, he bikes in the morning when I'm at work and I'm walking at 5am while he's sleeping.
I'm only on DAY3...but with sore legs and a cocktail wiener sized blister on my heel, I feel worn out! But I will NOT give up!
What sucks is that my WHOLE life I never had to work out. I was always moving from the age of 3, dance classes, gymnastics, drill team, dance company and so on. There was a time for years that I was either dancing or rehearsing at least 6 days a week. Then came marriage and the kids. That life SLOWED way down when motherhood appeared!
So with a new attitude (and a higher heart rate) I strap on my tennis shoes and grab my iPod and head outside every morning at 5. Hoping to see a thinner ME on the other side!

Pasta for breakfast? Yup!
So, Saturday is usually our 'free eat' day. Meaning, I come out of my vegetarian-ism for a day and the Mr. eat's what he wants.
I love pasta. Easy enough, I LOVE PASTA. I love linguine, I love macaroni, I LOVE PASTA! But I don't eat it allot. Let's face it, I'd look like the side of a mountain if I ate it as much as I love it.
I also love savory, I'm a savory type of gal. So yes, free day - butter, pasta, eggs, cheese. Sound fattening and free-day enough? I thought so.
Easy peasy....
Pasta (you can use linguine (as I did), angel hair, regular pasta...your choice
Butter, Eggs, cheese (again your choice)
And seasonings - basic, garlic, salt pepper....
AGAIN - Your Choice.
Boil your pasta, in a seperate pan melt butter and cook your seasonings, add your pasta, add your cheeses....DONE!
This dish has been around for a LONG time. You can eat it for breakfast or lunch or dinner. It's easy and filling and you can vary it almost endlessly. Add meats if want...prosciutto, bacon, ham....again...endless.
